After a highly successfulinaugural year, the ASA Women in IndustryExecutive Council recently met during the association’s Winter Strategic Planning Meeting in Southern California in January to build on the goals established by the Executive Council in 2014. The mission of ASA’s Women in Industry Division is to attract, retain and promote qualified and educated women for the long-term sustainability of the PHCP-PVF industry.

 

Goals for 2015 and 2016

Building on that theme, the division’s Executive Council has established goals for 2015 and 2016 that will increase the role and value of the division. Some of the new goals for the Women in Industry include:

      
Createa mentoring program for new female employees to guide their career
growth and assist in maintaining women in the PHCP-PVF industry.

Actas stewards of the industry by reaching out to college/university female
students and educate them on great career opportunities that exist in this industry.

·        
Developstrong educational programs that improve the business skills of
women in the PHCP-PVF industry to help them advance their career and
leadership opportunities.

·        
Expandthe value of the Women in Industry Spring Conference by building
engaging and educational events.
