The American Supply Association (ASA) works tirelessly to engage members and leaders to identify the greatest industry challenges and envision necessary resources for long-term success. 

ASA’s Women in Industry division recently announced First Supply Chief Administrative Officer and COO, Kitchen and Bath Stores Katie Poehling Seymour is the recipient of the 2020 Alice A. Martin Woman of the Year Award.

Tom Noon, principal of ASA business intelligence partner Industry Insights, will use the recently released 2020 ASA Operating Performance Report (OPR) to identify profit-improvement opportunities for surviving these trying times.

While the entire industry is feeling the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, contractors, plumbers and other service professionals must continue to keep up with technology changes and government-mandated orders, all while practicing new safety precautions to protect themselves and the homeowner. 

For any distributor or manufacturer, it’s a relatively simple equation that hasn’t changed for centuries: effective training, good processes and quality products equal a satisfied customer (and a thriving business).
