Wiseway Supply opens new location

Family-owned distributor Wiseway Supply recently opened its newest branch located at 11672 State Route 41 in West Union, Ohio. The new location will serve the southeastern Ohio market. Melvin Humphrey will run the new branch. Humphrey is a veteran of the electrical and plumbing industry and worked with another supply house before most recently running his own company.

“We are ecstatic to have Melvin on board at Wiseway and managing this location for us,” Wiseway VP of Operations Mike Kidwell said. “With the continued growing market, this new location offers the contractor convenience, additional inventory, great service and a broad line of quality products. Basically it is a one-stop-shop for any plumbing and electrical needs.”

The company also announced the recent addition of a “Know Before You Go” approach to its branch locations. The Wiseway Florence, Ky., and Blue Ash, Ohio locations are now designated as large commercial branches and are able to supply large commercial products and residential products. Locations in Dry Ridge, Ky., Harrison, Ohio, Franklin, Ohio, Hammersville, Ohio and the new West Union branch are designated as “RLC” and serve residential and light-commercial customers.

Wiseway noted inventory can be customized to a customer’s needs, and stock from any of the branch locations or the 65,000-sq.-ft. distribution center, complete with RF warehousing and other state-of-the-art technology, can be quickly transferred to the customer’s branch of choice.

“We are excited to have this new ‘Know Before You Go’ approach along with the additional ‘RLC’ after the name,” Wiseway President John Cain said. “This clarification in the name is how we knew we could get across more clearly the products the customers can expect to have when showing up at these locations. It becomes us creating the expectations for our customers to continue servicing their material needs at the service level they expect.”
