Flir Systems’s Flir One is a compact, easy-to-use thermal imaging device compatible with the iPhone 5 and 5s and fits like a protective case. Once mounted, it displays a live thermal image right on the phone’s screen. Its ability to detect and visualize heat, including differences in temperature, gives users a tool that can be applied in various contexts, including: home improvement, outdoor recreation and security/safety. It houses its own battery source that can power the device for two hours of continuous use.
