NCWA Members End 2010 On a Positive Note
A year-end
business conditions survey by the North Central Wholesalers Association (NCWA)
reveals that positive sales continued for the year for distributors in the
region. NCWA members responding to the survey reported increased sales from the
past 12 months (Dec. 1, 2009 to Nov. 30, 2010) with an average of 5.8% (median
5.62%).
Of the members, 22 reported sales increases within the past 12 months through Nov. 30, 2010, compared with only five who reported declines. Projections for next year look to be in the same range. All the firms who took the survey appear to be optimistic, yet cautious. Positive projections for 2011 include Ohio (4.2%), Indiana (6.8%) and Michigan (6.5%).
