Council Created For Research On Distributor Competitiveness
At last week’s NAW Executive Summit, it was announced that the NAW Institute for Distribution Excellence and Texas A&M University’s Industrial Distribution Program have joined forces to launch an alliance dedicated to further the understanding and application of best practices in wholesale distribution. Through this alliance, the Council for Research on Distributor Competitiveness (CRDC) has been created. The mission of the CRDC is to create competitive advantage for wholesaler-distributors through development of new industry research and educational programs and to deliver that research and knowledge to industry executives and their management teams. The CRDC will organize and operate annual research consortia on important business topics for interested wholesale distribution companies of all sizes and across all lines of trade. The initial consortium in 2009 will be pioneering research-driven educational programs on the topic of Sales and Marketing Optimization. The registration deadline is March 15, 2009. (Note: There is a participation fee.)
