Floyd J. Catterlin, 80, retired president/owner of City Supply, Michigan City, IN, died Feb. 2. He served as president of Central Wholesalers Association in 1987/88 and also as a director of the American Supply Association. He was Sergeant Major at Headquarters Command in Italy during World War II. He spent 22 years at City Supply before retiring in 2001. Prior to that he was general manager of Mid-City Supply, Elkhart, IN, and a salesman for AmStan Supply.
Edward J. Godett
Edward J. Godett, 82, who served as owner and president of the Joseph H. Young Co., Woburn, MA, for more than 35 years, died Feb. 19. He had remained active in the business and worked until the day he entered the hospital for heart surgery. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Bill Reed, a Weil McLain salesman who worked with “Eddie” for more than 20 years, said his “honesty and integrity were unmatched.” Ken Fagan of Emerson Swan remembered him for his extreme loyalty and willingness to share his knowledge and experience.
