Charles J. Scheuble, 83, former president of Anchor Supply Co., Pittsburgh, PA, died in January 2008,Supply House Timesrecently learned. He joined Anchor (initially called Anchor Sanitary Co.) in November 1948, where he worked in shipping and sales until December 1951, when he was promoted to purchasing agent. He was later associated with Dawn Supply in Donora, PA, a subsidiary of Anchor. Scheuble retired in 1986.

Anchor Sanitary, a distributor of plumbing and heating supplies, was founded in 1901 by Joseph White. The company initially had offices in Pittsburgh, Greensburg, New Castle and Holidaysburg, PA. The business no longer exists.

A decorated World War II veteran, Scheuble served in the U.S. Army in the Eighth Armored Division in Europe.
