Henry Willis (Sam) Barrett, 85, died Feb. 3 in Palm Desert, Calif. He served as a U.S. Marine during World War II and in the early stages of the Korean conflict in 1951. After that, he managed Stickrath's Plumbing Supply in White Oak, Pa., until 1964, when he formed the manufacturers rep firm Maggi and Barrett in partnership with Elmer Maggi. When Maggi died in 1971, Kirk Barrett went into partnership with Sam Barrett, and bought him out in 1983. Sam Barrett continued working for the company until 1999 when his health started deteriorating. Among his survivors are his wife of 58 years, Evelyn, five sons and 13 grandchildren.
