Henry C. Panza, a wholesaling icon for 38 years in the WinWholesale organization, passed away Nov. 23 in Connecticut.

Henry C. Panza, a wholesaling icon for 38 years in theWinWholesaleorganization, passed away Nov. 23 in Connecticut.

Panza joined WinWholesale in 1972. He also served as president of Derby N.O. Nelson Co., which later became Shelton Winnelson Co. in Shelton. Over the years, Panza was known for training people in the wholesaling business and sponsoring the startup of other Win companies. At the time of his death, he worked at Shelton Winnelson and was on the board of directors. His son,PriscoPanza, is president.

“Henry was a great sounding board and was always there for sage advice, counsel and insight no matter where you were or what you did in the organization,” saidRick Schwartz, WinWholesale president and CEO. “He trained countless people, including me, in the fundamentals of wholesaling. It’s clear that our presence in the Northeast would not be what it is today if it wasn’t for him.”  

Services were set for Nov. 26 in New Haven, Conn.
