How long have you been in the PHCP-PVF industry?

Two and a half years.

What drew you into the industry?

Prior to Matco-Norca, I sold building material products directly to contractors. I was introduced to that employer by a family member and that experience led me to my current position. It’s exciting to be part of projects from the early stages and then later see them completed. I have also found there are a lot of career and learning opportunities in the PHCP-PVF industry.

What is the most rewarding aspect of working in the industry?

I would say developing lasting relationships.

What motivates you every day?

I do enjoy the friendly, competitive nature to win jobs and stock business. Every day and every part of my region is different, so staying organized and communicating with my reps ensures I stay on task.

What is one thing you wish more people knew/understood about the PHCP-PVF industry?

I think a lot of people view the industry as not very “glamourous”, which isn’t completely false, but that can turn people away. However, I do think the industry is starting to evolve, which is exciting. There are multiple directions and opportunities for one to explore in his or her career. The people in this industry are great to work with and provide a fun culture to be in.

What has been your proudest moment in your career so far?

Being still early in my career, I would really say being offered my position with Matco-Norca. This was a pivotal move in my career. It was a big change for me and I’m so happy I made the decision to accept the role.

What is one thing most people don’t know about you?

I coached middle school and high school basketball for 5 years.
