The Granite Group acquires Webber Supply

Granite Group
October 16, 2019

Concord, New Hampshire-based The Granite Group Wholesalers, announced it has finalized the acquisition of Maine-Based Webber Supply. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Established in 1960, Webber features locations in South Portland, Lewiston, Augusta and Bangor. Effective Oct. 7, all Webber Supply branches began operating under The Granite Group umbrella.

“We could not be more excited about this opportunity to work with the fantastic people at Webber to give their customer base access to our world-class distribution system and product offerings,” The Granite Group President and CEO Bill Condron said. “Now with six locations from South Portland to Bangor, this acquisition allows The Granite Group to greatly expand its service footprint in Maine. In addition to the operational synergies between The Granite Group and Webber, both companies share an unwavering dedication to service and their people. Therefore, we are expecting a very smooth transition.”

The Webber Group President Marie Saucier added: “In addition to seeing a great fit on the business side, the cultures of Webber Supply and The Granite Group are very similar and that is one of the biggest reasons we felt comfortable moving forward. The people at Webber Supply have a proud tradition of serving contractors throughout the state of Maine and we are extremely happy they will now be building on that reputation as members of The Granite Group.”

With roots dating back to 1901, The Granite Group has 43 branch locations throughout New England, stocked daily by a 210,000-square-foot center distribution center in Londonderry, New Hampshire. It also operates 15 The Ultimate Bath Store locations in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont and Rhode Island.
