• Baltimore-based Northeastern Supply announced the hiring of four individuals. Alan Cowan is Northeastern’s new vice president of sales, managing residential, commercial and HVAC sales throughout Northeastern’s 34 locations. He’s a 16-year veteran of the company.  Joe Pierce is Northeastern’s new commercial sales manager for its plumbing division. Mike Denison has been named Northeastern’s new HVAC sales manager, while Jamie Leo is the distributor’s new marketing and creative service manager.

  • Fargo, North Dakota-based Dakota Supply Group named Tracey Koenig to the newly created role of chief information officer. Koenig will oversee all the company’s IT systems, applications and infrastructure, as well as the DSG IT team. He also will lead planning and strategy development for DSG’s future IT ventures. He will work out of DSG’s Fargo office.

  • American Supply Association Vice President of Advocacy Jim Kendzel has been appointed to chair the IAPMO Alternate Water Source Task Group. The scope of this task group is to research technologies and develop provisions for onsite treatment for storm water and blackwater catchment systems for nonpotable and potable reuse, and the appropriate disinfection and testing requirements for these systems according to the end use.

  • Bradford White, Canada Director of Sales and Marketing Dan Milroy is the recipient of the 2018 Doug Crawford Memorial Award. The honor recognizes an individual, individuals or company that has made a significant contribution to MCA Canada through long-standing voluntary participation, leadership and commitment to ensuring the success of associate members. Milroy served as chairman of the MCAC Associate Council and his responsibilities also included serving on the MSCC Board of Directors and the CEC Education Council.

  • HARDI recently announced the hiring of full-time economist Paul Hallmann to its benchmarking department. Hallmann, who will be based at the HARDI headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, previously served as a corporate strategist for Scotts Miracle-Grow Co. Hallmann will work closely with Market Research & Benchmarking Analyst Brian Loftus on delivering macro-level and market-specific insights, HARDI noted.

  • The Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute appointed Helen Walter-Terrinoni as its vice president of regulatory affairs.

  • Brasscraft Mfg. Co. recently helped local plumbing contractor Faeq Alsaidi with a new drain-cleaning machine, tools and plumbing products after a robbery left him without the tools he needed to work. Scofflaws stole more than $4,000 in tools and equipment from his work van. Alsaidi has owned his own plumbing business in Dearborn, Michigan for nearly two decades. “When we heard about Mr. Alsaidi being robbed we wanted to do the right thing and step in to help him get back on his feet,” Brasscraft President Tom Assante said.

  • Northrich Co., is now the exclusive EVAPCO representative in the HVAC and industrial-process markets for the Cleveland, Ohio, territory. The rep firm also will serve as the Mr. GoodTower Service Center for the Cleveland area. Northrich continues serving the EVAPCO territory in Toledo.

  • The International Code Council and the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors National Association have agreed to a corporate partnership. With the agreement, PHCC members will have increased access to I-Codes books and training.
