• NIBCO announced Ashley Martin has been promoted to the position of senior vice president of sales. She most recently was senior vice president of wholesale sales at the Elkhart, Indiana-based manufacturer.

  • United Pipe & Steel’s Jon Gregor and Jason Brewer have advanced to the role of regional operations manager. Gregor will supervise distribution-center teams in Ipswich, Massachusetts, Easton, Pennsylvania, Elyria, Ohio, Franklin, Indiana, Loves Park, Illinois and Burlington, North Carolina, while Brewer will supervise DC teams in Corsicana, Texas, Topeka, Kansas, Birmingham, Alabama, Apopka, Florida, as well as Rialto and Stockton, California.

  • APR Supply Co. President Scott Weaver was featured in the keystone video at HARDI’s annual conference in Las Vegas late last year. Titled “Standing on the Shoulders of Giants,” the video debuted at the closing ceremony and featured Weaver sharing the story of how APR Supply has created a culture in which the team is passionate and willing to overcome challenges that could have been paralyzing.

  • Manufacturer and supplier of HVAC/R parts and accessories DiversiTech Corp. hired Doug Johnson as regional sales manager-North Central region, HVAC/R. Johnson is responsible for driving all HVAC/R sales efforts in that territory.

  • McWane Plumbing Group appointed Francesca Dunbar to vice president of group marketing effective immediately. Dunbar also was recently elected to serve on the board of directors of the Cast Iron Soil Pipe Institute, where she also will chair the Education and Membership Advisory Group. In her role, Dunbar is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for all division brands including AB&I Foundry, Tyler Pipe & Coupling, Anaco-Husky, Wade Drains, Bibby-Ste-Croix and McWane Technical Services.

  • Brasscraft Mfg. Co. has awarded its Robert M. Zell Award for the first time to two employees. Recipients of the 2017 honor are Daniel Hodges, product engineer, and John Yuan, FP&A supervisor. Both work out of the company’s Novi, Michigan headquarters. The award, created in honor of company founder Robert M. Zell, recognizes employees who epitomize and embrace Zell’s vision to deliver the highest quality and innovative products to its customers.

  • Duravit announced the addition of Kristy Ferguson as customer service manager. Ferguson joins the company with more than 10 years of customer-service experience and industry knowledge, it noted.

  • Danfoss Turbocor Compressors announced it will build a new facility in Tallahassee, Florida, to support its engineering and manufacturing operations and its new Application Development Center. Construction is expected to begin in early 2018 and be completed in 2019. 

  • Through the month of November, Water-Right sponsored a fundraiser to aid hurricane relief in Puerto Rico. The company’s “Denim Days for Puerto Rico’s Aid” ran from Nov. 1 to Nov. 30 and allowed employees to pay $2 per day to wear jeans instead of typical attire required by dress code. The company will donate $3,500 to Puerto Rico no Esta’ Apaga’o (Our Light Is Stronger, Puerto Rico Is Not Spiritless).

  • DiversiTech was named Ferguson’s HVAC vendor of the year for 2017.

  • Armstrong Fluid Technology has completed the acquisition of the circulator pump business unit of HALM Motors & Systems GmbH in Germany, a provider of high-efficiency circulator pumps for heating, solar, geothermal and domestic hot-water applications.
