In October, the ASA Education Foundation Board of Trustees met to measure progress toward the association’s goal — ASA Members will attract, develop, and retain a labor force that will become the best educated, best trained, and most professional in the industry.
With an eye on the future, key projects to support talent management within our industry, prepare the ASA membership for dramatic shifts in the workplace, and ultimately attract and retain new employees were considered when establishing a plan for 2018. These projects include:
- The release of a brand-new Essentials course focused on key leadership concepts. This innovative course will support the leadership development needs of the industry.
- A new and improved 3D Residential Schematic Training Package course bundle with brand-new technologies for ease of learning, retention and experience.
- In an effort to continue to create content for all sectors of the industry, the launch of an all-new course focused on valve actuation training.
- An expanded ASA-U Advisory Service to better support ASA members throughout the year on issues and initiatives related to successful training program implementation, performance management, employee retention and more.
