Rheem has acquired DEJONG, an independent manufacturer and supplier of stainless-steel hot water tanks, from Nordian Capital. Founded in 1859 and based in Gorredijk, the Netherlands, DEJONG produces hot water tanks for multiple applications including solar, heat pump and boiler configurations

Water heater manufacturer Rinnai America Corp. has been working for the last three years with a state department of corrections to upgrade the water heating systems in five prison facilities. This initiative, Jason Tuttle, Rinnai America’s commercial business manager for the North Central region, notes, had a goal to increase the facility’s overall efficiencies.

Navien has introduced three new chemical-free and environmentally friendly products to refresh their PeakFlow lineup of scale prevention solutions. Rinnai America announced its soon-to-be-completed North American facility located in Griffin, Georgia. Rinnai is investing in product development for tankless water heaters, boilers, wall furnaces and more on US soil. Alongside business development, Rinnai will also play a role in the local economy by fulfilling 150 positions by early 2022. 

Navien has added a  new 120,000 BTU/h model to the NPN non-condensing tankless water heater lineup. The NPN-120E is the fourth model introduction to the NPN-E (exterior) series. The new size is offered in separate natural gas and liquid propane configurations for outdoor-only operation. NPN-120E provides 4.2 GPM at 45° F temperature rise and stays in-line with the rest of the NPN series at 0.81 UEF. 

GE Appliances Air & Water Solutions carries a line of electric tank and tankless water heaters, with plans for the introduction of a gas line early next year. Supply House Times recently caught up with Jim Skaggs, vice president of sales for GE Appliances Air & Water Solutions.
