A family-owned business founded in 1945, Giant markets its water heaters under the Giant brand and employs more than 300 people, primarily in Canada. Giant manufactures water heaters at two facilities in Montreal and sells water heating products across Canada. The addition of Giant to A. O. Smith’s existing water heater operations enlarges the company’s presence in the Canada water heater market, which is characterized by a high percentage of replacement demand.
The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors National Association (PHCC) announced that A. O. Smith is the newest PHCC Corporate Partner. During this year’s PHCCCONNECT2021 conference, Oct. 20-22, in Kansas City, Missouri, A. O. Smith will sponsor the QSC Community Corner, a hub where service and repair contractor members can meet and connect with peers.
A. O. Smith donated 24 tankless water heaters valued at over $25,000 to House of Hope Village, a community of highly efficient tiny homes which will provide temporary, dignified transitional housing to community members in need.
The A. O. Smith University class schedule is flexible month-to-month, and sessions are offered on a variety of topics, including residential training, commercial training, tankless training and heat pump training.

Company announces new series of training programs.

A. O. Smith announced a new series of training programs as a result of high-demand for its A. O. Smith University educational sessions. The company has two state-of-the-art training facilities, located in Ashland City and Johnson City, Tennessee, which held primarily virtual training sessions in 2020 with over 100,000 combined class attendances. Both facilities are utilized to train technicians, contractors and product representatives on a variety of products and topics.
Bradford White introduced the Infiniti L, the latest addition to the company’s Infiniti series of reliable and easy-to-install ENERGY STAR-certified tankless water heaters.
A. O. Smith Foundation recently donated 30 of its high-efficiency water heaters to the Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity, located in Menasha, Wisconsin.
