Hotel space is filling up fast for the industry’s biggest event of the year, ASA’s NETWORK2022, which takes place Nov. 9-11 at the Fairmont Millennium Park Hotel in downtown Chicago.

Even though our company’s roots are more than 140 years old, it was July of 1992 when Bradford White reaffirmed its commitment to American manufacturing and declared allegiance to the wholesale distribution and professional installation of our products.

It was clear after attending the ELEVATE conference that connecting women professionals who are building strong careers in the PHCP and PVF industry is enormously valuable.  And having a robust women’s group is something that ASA is already leveraging as we look to attract more women to our teams.

ASA has seen that firsthand with the popularity of what we call our best practices roundtable sessions. These usually hour-long sessions, where ASA members share their boots-on-the-ground experiences, gained original traction with our Emerging Leaders group and its annual EMERGE conference.

Within the context of talking about the future business climate, one table observed showrooms are “staying busy, but single order values are declining.”

There have been strong collaborative efforts by various industry associations, including ACCA, ASA, ASHRAE, HARDI, PHCC and others.

As we contemplate the economy at the midpoint, we are still seeing some strengths and weaknesses.

This week, Reps. Chellie Pingree (D-ME) and David Rouzer (R-NC) introduced the House companion bill for the Healthy H20 Act. The original legislation, which ASA lent its support for, was introduced by Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) in March.  The bill would address funding for clean water in rural and underserved communities that may have been overlooked by previous funding efforts.
