Torrco acquires Commercial Heating Supply

Becker

Joel Becker of TORRCO.

July 31, 2016

Waterbury, Conn.-based Torrco, a fourth generation distributor, recently purchased certain operating assets of Commercial Heating Supply.

Founded in 1979, Commercial Heating Supply distributes commercial, industrial and residential heating controls, accessories and equipment, and serves customers in Connecticut, Rhode Island and western Massachusetts. It has two branch locations in Hartford and Stamford, Conn., and is one of 23 distributors in the country to offer Honeywell’s 7800 series safeguard controls.

“The addition of the Commercial Heating Supply business into Torrco affords Commercial Heating Supply’s customers the benefit of Torrco’s peace-of-mind service and Torrco’s portfolio of products and services,” Torrco Vice President of SalesChris Fasano said. “Commercial Heating Supply’s expertise in commercial heating will now be shared throughout Torrco’s territories from Stamford, Conn., to North Adams, Mass.”

Torrco has 11 trade branch locations and seven design centers in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York. “We are honored Commercial Heating Supply has chosen Torrco to carry on its 48-year legacy as the leading specialty commercial heating parts and equipment supplier in southern New England,” Torrco Chairman and CEO Joel Becker said. The addition of the Commercial Heating Supply personnel and specialty heating lines will make Torrco the unquestionable premier supplier of heating accessories, parts and equipment in Connecticut and western Massachusetts.”
