ICP Steering Committee unveils plan to maintain industrial workforce

The Industrial Careers Pathway Steering Committee recently held its annual retreat in Rosemont, Ill.,

The Industrial Careers Pathway Steering Committee recently held its annual retreat in Rosemont, Ill., where it reviewed its current strategic plan, refined its action goals and progress metrics and developed a new three-year plan to advance the company’s mission to meet the need for a skilled industrial distribution workforce that will be challenged by an expected demographic shift.

The committee is comprised of associates from the staff and membership of ICP’s Alliance Partner organizations, including American Supply Association.

As part of ICP’s efforts a corps of company ambassadors will be attending career fairs and visiting secondary schools and community/technical colleges in their local areas to speak about careers in industrial distribution. For more information, visit www.industrialcareerspathway.org/hire.
