The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) reported that global stainless production is going up but slowing, based on preliminary figures. Stainless steel crude steel production increased in the first half of 2007 by 9.1% compared to the same period of 2006. During the rest of 2007 ISSF forecasted that healthy demand from end users will remain, but production will slow down considerably due to de-stocking.
