Allen Rosenberg, 82, died March 28, 2007, after a short illness, Supply House Times recently learned. He owned and operated the Highland Hardware Store in Winsted, CT, for many years. He worked as a salesman for manufacturers rep firm The Serpa Corp., Norwood, MA, for nearly 40 years. After a couple of years of retirement, he decided to return to sales on a part-time basis.

In 2004 he contacted Raymond J. Serret, founder of RJS Tech LLC, manufacturer of Plug-N-Stub, about becoming his sales rep in Connecticut. “That turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made, as I owe much of my success to his wisdom and knowledge,” Serret said. “Most of all, he became a close and dear friend whom I will never forget.”Rosenberg was a true pioneer in the PHCP industry, Serret said, noting that “his passion for taking on new product lines never diminished.”

Other manufacturers he represented over the years included Fluidmaster, Hammond Valve, J-Tec and Husky. Donations may be made to Congregation Beth El, 32 Gorton Ave., Old Lyme, CT 06371, or Temple B’nai Abraham, 127 East Main St., Meriden, CT 06450.
