Delta Faucet Co. was ranked No. 2 in online ad impressions in the consumer goods home and garden category for the month of June, according to Internet Retailer. Delta said its Internet activity is part of its overall strategy of targeting consumers in venues where they are close to the purchase cycle.

Research from Compete, Inc., of Boston shows that 79% of consumers who research products on the Web are planning a purchase, Delta reported. It also shows that while many of them don't make the actual purchase online, Web resources are major influences in their final decision, the company said.

Delta made improvements to its Web site based on online consumer needs research.
