Membership applications are now being accepted from plumbing and heating manufacturers for hotOverstock.com, which facilitates overstock trading on the Internet. Approved manufacturers will be able to list their warehouse overstock items for sale on the site.

The Web site is open to wholesalers and distributors only, and prospective members are screened for credit history before their membership is confirmed.

"Too often manufacturers have overstocked items in their own warehouses that they would like to sell," said Alexander Lorenz, vice president/sales. "To many of our wholesale members, these products will be worth gold."
