Distributors are a driving force in the PHCP-PVF industry, especially when it comes to the success of networking and educational events. Decades ago, industry events were major networking gatherings with hundreds of distributor attendees and firms being a magnet for manufacturers and rep firms. But decades of consolidation and the emergence of buying groups have decimated the success of local networking events and the regions that hosted them. In 2025, ASA will look to mirror the success from the newly expanded ASA Central and launch ASA West, merging the SWPD and WSA groups into a mega region with a new annual spring conference backed by 50 distributor member companies located throughout the 11 western states comprising this new mega region: AK, AZ, CA, HI, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, WA and WY. The mission of the ASA West Summit will be to provide a forum for education, peer networking, and sharing of best practices and will connect industry professionals throughout the western region to promoting excellence in leadership and member success.
