Domestic Malleable Fittings / Welded Nipples: February 2021
January 31, 2021
Steel prices have more than doubled in the past six months. We have seen a 7% increase already this year (malleable iron and welded nipples) with another 7% expected before the end of Q1 2020. Demand remains stable and fill rates should be ~98% for standard sizes / classes through Q1 2021. Imports have been greatly reduced, which has caused some manufacturing constraints from domestic manufacturers.
