Winsupply announces acquisition and expansions
Dayton, Ohio-based Winsupply purchased Baron Distributors, a wholesaler-distributor of irrigation products in four locations in west Texas and New Mexico. Baron is a supplier of turf, landscape, golf and agriculture irrigation products with two locations in El Paso doing business as Baron Supply and Baron Irrigation Supply, and single locations in Las Cruces and Albuquerque, New Mexico, doing business as Sierra Irrigation Supply and Sierra Supply, respectively.
Each of the four locations will operate under the Winsupply brand: Winsupply of North El Paso, Winsupply of South El Paso, Winsupply of East Las Cruces and Winsupply of South Albuquerque.
“Baron Distributors has established a highly successful, growing group of irrigation distributors in the three southwest locales over its 25-year history,” said Monte Salsman, president of Winsupply Local Company Group. “We see continued growth and strong veteran leadership from the four who are investing personal equity in ownership of their respective locations.”
The national distributor also announced the opening of four new companies: Winsupply of El Paso (Texas), Winsupply of San Antonio, Winsupply of Frederick (Maryland) and Winsupply of North Canton, Ohio.
Rene Tirres is president of Winsupply of El Pason, serving HVAC contractors. Dustin Tichnell is president of Winsupply of San Antonio, serving electrical contractors. Crystal Maguire is president of Winsupply of Frederick, serving electrical contractors, and Ryan Patton is president of Winsupply of North Canton, serving PVF and mechanical contractors.
“We are proud to add Rene, Dustin, Crystal and Ryan to our family of entrepreneurs at Winsupply,” Salsman said. “Each was attracted to the Winsupply co-ownership business model in which they own substantial equity in their respective company. Ownership provides pride of ownership, a sense of achievement and the ability to share in the company’s performance financially.”
