• Chicago-based MIFAB welcomed Dan Hunt as its new Northeast regional sales manager, Ryan Moore as Southeastern U.S. regional manager and Kevin Wong to the newly created position of Canadian national specifications manager. The manufacturer also hired Dan Condon to its team as Western regional sales manager.

  • Strasser Woodenworks hired Peter Ollestad as its new vice president of sales. Ollestad is a longtime veteran of the company, returning after a year away to a higher position on the Strasser executive team.

  • Viega recently promoted Nic Savaglio to regional sales manager for the company’s Southwest region.

  • KBIS announced the promotion of Amy Hornby to KBIS show director. KBIS noted Hornby has been instrumental in the growth of multiple large-scale events throughout her career and brings a proven track record of successful management and revenue generation to her new role.

  • Legend Valve & Fitting announced the hiring of Wade Tennant as director of marketing and Richard McNally as hydronic business-development manager. McNally’s primary responsibility will be in radiant sales and training. He comes to Legend from Watts Water.

  • PHCC presented its annual Plumbing Contractor of the Year Award, sponsored by Delta Faucet, to Jeff Hux, president of Norfolk Plumbing in Norfolk, Virginia.

  • Taco Comfort Solutions named John Morgan area vice president, Western U.S., promoted Eric Turmel to area vice president, Central U.S., and promoted Geoffry Bent to Southeast region manager, commercial products.

  • Triangle Tube announced the appointment of Andy Sutton as operations director. Sutton comes from Triangle Tube’s parent company, Groupe Atlantic.

  • Walker Zanger expanded its executive team by announcing Erika Egede-Nissen as its new director of marketing.

  • Missouri-Illinois-based HVAC distributor Benoist Brothers acquired suburban Chicago distributor NuComfort Supply, which was founded in 2002 and has three branches. NuComfort continues as a Benoist subsidiary with founder Marty Nuzik at the helm.

  • NAVAC has engaged two new sales agencies to market, sell and serve customers. Hugh M. Cunningham Companies will represent NAVAC in New Mexico, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma, while Appalachian Sales Group will represent the company in North Carolina and South Carolina.

  • Daikin North America has entered into an equity venture with Thermal Mechanics, Inc., covering the Illinois, Kansas and Missouri markets. The new company will take on additional Daikin product lines, including residential unitary systems, ductless-split systems and light commercial rooftop products.
