Steve Cook, current owner and CEO of Baltimore, Maryland-based Northeastern Supply, announced he is relinquishing his role as president and will continue solely as the CEO. Cook served as president for more than 31 years at the privately held company.

Industry veteran Stan Allen has been appointed president of Northeastern. Allen is no stranger to the business; he brings with him more than 30 years of experience in the plumbing wholesale distribution supply industry, most recently serving as president of Morrison Supply.

“We are a young-thinking, aggressive company constantly striving to improve,” said Cook, who takes over as ASA’s president in 2019. “I felt in my heart we needed a president who will push us harder and make us better on a day-to-day basis — some fresh blood, fresh enthusiasm and fresh ideas. This move also positions us to remain family-owned, operating with the same family values we have always adhered to.”

Allen added: “I am extremely humbled and excited to join the team at Northeastern. There is a long history of success that has been built on a foundation of hard work, developing strong relationships and doing whatever it takes to be our customers’ preferred supplier. We want to continue to build on our history and tap into our full potential.”

Supply House Times will have more on this in the coming days at www.SupplyHT.com and in the April issue of the magazine.
