General Pipe Cleaners named Dave Dunbar national sales manager effective Oct. 2. A 21-year veteran of General, Dave succeeds Andy Zelazny, who retired at the end of September after 40 years of service to the company.

The North American water-heating business unit of A. O. Smith named Gregory A. Reynolds vice president-engineering. Reynolds is responsible for leading the residential and commercial water-heater product engineering function for North America. He succeeds Darrel Schuh who was promoted to vice president and general manager of water systems and APCOM.

Mark Fales joined Watts as director of sales — East. Fales brings to the role more than 17 years of experience in the plumbing and tile industry and a demonstrated history of delivering significant results, Watts noted. Earlier in his career he was vice president, retail sales at Moen.

Jones Stephens, a World and Main company, announced Jon Wickersham has assumed the position of director of national accounts where he will focus on national wholesaler program implementation and service. He joined Jones Stephens in 2015 as Southeast region sales manager.

Uponor named Tom Rowbotham vice president of supply chain effective Oct. 16. In his role, Rowbotham will develop and lead Uponor’s sourcing strategy in North America, which will include continuing to build strategic partnerships with suppliers, assessing vendors and, most importantly, leading continuous improvement initiatives in supply planning, production scheduling, distribution, transportation and inventory.

T&S Brass has increased the size of it accounting team by 50% over the last five years to support growing worldwide operations. Recent additions include Robin Scruggs in accounts receivable, Jennifer Holmes in accounts payable and Chesney Maltby, who serves as assistant controller. Existing staff members Sherry Holmes and Karolyn Moran received promotions to accommodate the demand for more professional support, the company noted.

Danze and Gerber announced the addition of Mike Walleck as their director of sales for the Western region. Walleck most recently was sales director at Ward Mfg. Co., where he honed his management skills overseeing a sales team that included manufacturers representatives in more than 10 states.

LIXIL Corp., recently announced its breakthrough SATO business will be funded under the “Urban Sanitation Challenge,” a newly launched program of the Water Innovation Engine. SATO products currently are commercially available in Bangladesh, Uganda, Kenya and India. The company’s goal is to bring safe sanitation to 100 million people by the end of 2020.

Gerber and Danze raised money and school supplies to outfit more than 100 backpacks for area children in need. Employees worked together to purchase items for the Joliet school district through the organization Kits for Kidz.

Taco Comfort Solutions, in conjunction with the American Red Cross, has announced a hurricanes relief effort focused on the HVAC industry to assist those in need in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, South Carolina, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands affected by hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.
