A transfer-of-property ceremony took place at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Baker Street in an empty lot and boarded up row homes in Baltimore.
AD associates participated in a giving back event on March 17 by supporting Cradles to Crayons, a Philadelphia-area nonprofit organization providing children from birth through age 12 living in homeless or low-income situations with the essential items they need to thrive. AD’s volunteer efforts, monetary donations and children’s item collection will support approximately 3,200 children in the Philadelphia region.
In addition to the Foundation’s direct financial support, A. O. Smith has also partnered with the American Red Cross to create a donation microsite to assist employees in making personal contributions to the relief efforts if they choose.
The weeklong project will address a critical issue for public health and safety in the surrounding community, where many low-income homeowners are unable to afford an on-site sewage disposal system.
SupplyHouse.com has made a $30,000 contribution to the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors—National Association (PHCC) Educational Foundation, plus provided another $30,000 in support for training and workforce development projects.
This donation will help fund key initiatives aimed at helping students in Hutchinson attain meaningful experience needed to embark on their careers, all while helping to identify pathways for success in school or the workforce.
