It was clear after attending the ELEVATE conference that connecting women professionals who are building strong careers in the PHCP and PVF industry is enormously valuable.  And having a robust women’s group is something that ASA is already leveraging as we look to attract more women to our teams.

Within the context of talking about the future business climate, one table observed showrooms are “staying busy, but single order values are declining.”

As we contemplate the economy at the midpoint, we are still seeing some strengths and weaknesses.

This week, Reps. Chellie Pingree (D-ME) and David Rouzer (R-NC) introduced the House companion bill for the Healthy H20 Act. The original legislation, which ASA lent its support for, was introduced by Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) in March.  The bill would address funding for clean water in rural and underserved communities that may have been overlooked by previous funding efforts.   

The 63-page report is produced for ASA by Industry Insights, the association’s long-time business intelligence partner.

You cannot read a newspaper, turn on the news or even have a casual conversation at one of your counters without hearing about the struggle every business is having to attract talented people today.

Respondents reported calendar-year-to-date sales growth of 23%, down from 24% last time. For the trailing 12 months ending March 2022, respondents reported strong sales growth of 22%, again down from the March 23.7%. 

Nearly 170 attendees converged on the Big Easy for two days packed with education and best practices sessions, as well as bountiful networking opportunities.

ASA retained Cal Strat last year, and the firm continues to represent the association and our members on critical California issues impacting ASA members’ interests, particularly on those issues that will have significant impact nationally.

The just-released 2022 study, sponsored by the Association Education Alliance, features data from 959 distribution companies representing more than 10,000 locations. ASA is one of 22 distribution-related associations that took part in the survey.
