As ASA continues to monitor and act on California’s legislative and regulatory activities – recently a key bill that would have had a detrimental effect on members in-state, as well as nationally, was removed from consideration.

A report issued in April 2023 by Beyond Plastics, a project with the mission to “… end plastic pollution everywhere…,” falsely claims that the use of PVC and CPVC pipe in drinking water system pose a significant health and environmental hazard.

Respondents to ASA’s monthly sales report reported a median sales increase of 1.7% for March 2023 vs. 2022. This represents the lowest this figure has been since February 2021. Year-to-date sales through March 2023 were up 8.9% vs. 2022.
