Morsco recognizes outstanding leaders

Loy Rice, VP regional manager of Morrison’s West region covering Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and New Mexico, received Morrison’s Darrell K. Hawkins Award.
During MORSCO’s recent managers meeting in Austin, Texas, the company honored a pair of individuals for their superior dedication and understanding of their leadership roles in the company.
Harry Huss, who works in Express Pipe & Supply’s Fullerton, Calif., store, received Express Pipe & Supply’s Founders Award of Excellence. The award is given to an individual who demonstrates the qualities of an owner, thus the associate must have an entrepreneurial spirit, understand profitability, understand the value of customer relationships and have a strong desire to succeed.
Loy Rice, VP regional manager of Morrison’s West region covering Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and New Mexico, received Morrison’s Darrell K. Hawkins Award. The award, named in honor of Morrison Supply’s former president, is bestowed upon an individual who demonstrates extraordinary mentoring to others within Morrison.
More than 185 MORSCO managers attended the meeting, which covered the company’s 2015 performance, goals and its outlook for 2016 and beyond. It also featured breakout sessions led by MORSCO experts, a guest motivational speaker and an evening honoring MORSCO associates.
In other company news, Morrison Supply claimed the title of 2016 LG Duct Free System Distributor of the Year at the LG DFS Distributor Conference in Half Moon Bay, Calif. The award is presented to the top LG DFS distributor in North America.
