Ferguson acquires Action Fire Fab & Supply

November 30, 2015

Ferguson Fire & Fabrication announces the acquisition of Action Fire Fab & Supply in an asset transaction completed Nov. 16, 2015. Ferguson Fire & Fabrication will conduct business from the former Action Fire Fab & Supply location as Ferguson Fire & Fabrication.

Action Fire Fab & Supply was established by fire protection contractor Ted M. Bolls Sr., and his wife in 1986 in Fremont, Calif. They relocated the business to Tracy, Calif., in 1990 after building the current facility.

“Action Fire Fab & Supply is a family-owned business with a wonderful reputation and years of experience in the fire protection industry,” Ferguson CEO Frank Roach said. “Their practical and technical expertise will serve as a valuable asset to our talented Ferguson Fire & Fabrication team in northern California.”

“The Bolls and Donahoo families, along with our staff and crew, wish to sincerely thank everyone who have been so supportive, loyal and have put their trust in our company for nearly thirty years,” said Amy Donahoo, executive vice president of Action Fire & Fab Supply. “During that time we have established deep relationships within the industry and have made close friends with so many of you that we could not count them all if we tried to.

“As many of you are aware, we lost our leader Ted Sr. on September 27 of this year. My father and I, along with Ferguson Fire & Fab’s District Manager George DiMatteo, began acquisition negotiations back in June. We truly regret that Ted could not be with us today as we combine forces with Ferguson Fire & Fabrication. I am certain that he would be very proud and pleased with the outcome. I will continue with the company in a business development role and look forward to working with everyone just as we have done in the past. We couldn’t have made it to this point without your confidence in our abilities. We will strive to continue in our quest to maintain our associations which prove beneficial to all.”
