Affiliated Distributors Q3 sales growth at 8%
Wayne, Pa.-based Affiliated Distributors reported 8% growth across all its divisions in the third quarter of 2014. Total sales for the first three quarters of the year for the group were $23 billion. All AD divisions are projected to accomplish another record-breaking year by exceeding $30 billion in sales.
By division, industrial was up 2%, while PVF was flat in a down market, AD reported. Building materials led the way in Q3, up 18% year over year.
AD members hired 2,221 new employees in the first three quarters of 2014, opened more than 71 new locations and made 15 acquisitions.
