William H. Harvey Mfg. Co. chose to have its team trained by Videojet Technologies’ professional trainers both at a Videojet Training Center in Atlanta and at Harvey’s Omaha, Neb., facility. Coursework included multiple levels of instruction, hands-on learning and formal testing. The initial training program resulted in roughly a 5% increase in the performance of the production line where the printers were in use. It also upgraded its coding system to one that would provide a better method of lot traceability and maximized its uptime in order to improve the company’s overall equipment effectiveness.
