First Supply recently announced the addition of Paul Kennedy as president and chief operating officer.
Paul Kennedy

Having been in the wholesale supply industry for more than 25 years, Kennedy comes to First Supply with a wealth of knowledge that will support the company’s growth goals. As president and COO, Kennedy will be responsible for the goals and activities of all corporate staff as well as all current established locations. Kennedy will be based out of First Supply corporate headquarters in Madison.

The new position brings alignment to the company across the Midwest to best serve the needs of First Supply customers. The hiring will allow Mike Hickok to focus exclusively on acquisitions, new markets and vendor relations. Both Kennedy and Hickok will report directly to Chairman and CEO Joe Poehling.

“I am thrilled to join the First Supply team,” Kennedy said. “First Supply has a longstanding reputation as a customer-focused organization with an outstanding group of dedicated employees. I look forward to building on the legacy that makes First Supply the Midwest’s premier distributor.”

First Supply has 28 locations in the upper Midwest. Founded in 1897 and established in La Crosse, Wis., First Supply employs more than 650 people and is a family-owned, single-source provider of HVACR, builder, plumbing, industrial PVF and pump/well and septic supplies.
