The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency honored Fort Worth, Texas-based Niagara Conservation its 2013 WaterSense Manufacturing Partner of the Year at the WaterSmart Innovations Conference in October.
The award was given to Niagara Conservation for the company’s commitment to water efficiency and outstanding efforts to support the WaterSense program in 2012. More than 96% of the company’s core product line of toilets, showerheads and faucet accessories were WaterSense labeled in 2012 — nearly a 10% increase compared to 2011.
Also, Niagara’s new key initiative — its Green City program — was recognized by WaterSense. The program is designed to maximize water and energy savings in cities throughout the U.S. and enables water utilities to offer their customers the chance to upgrade their plumbing fixtures to Niagara’s Stealth Systems with no upfront costs.
“Niagara Conservation is honored to be recognized by the EPA as its 2013 WaterSense Manufacturer Partner of the Year,” said Bill Cutler, Niagara’s president and CEO. “For more than 35 years, we have been dedicated to not only providing our customers with premier water and energy efficiency products, but also to raising public awareness about the importance of water conservation.”
