Sterling Heights, Mich.-based The Macomb Group recently acquired Madison Heights, Mich.-based commercial and industrial mechanical insulation company R.L. Bondy.
R.L. Bondy, which will continue to operate as an independent business, installs mechanical insulation for piping, duct equipment and boiler walls, as well as weatherproof lagging for mechanical piping and plumbing contractors, general contractors and facility owners. The company had revenues of $29 million in 2012. The acquisition allows The Macomb Group to install complete piping systems as well as provide proper insulation to its customers.

The Macomb Group has been a PVF wholesaler since 1977 and now operates multiple locations in Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee.
