PRIER Products’ distribution center in Grandview, Mo., suffered a collapsed roof in February as a result of a massive overnight snowstorm that dumped more than 24 in. of snow. Thanks to the help of key partners, PRIER signed a new lease, erected new shelving and racking, carefully extracted inventory from the collapse site and moved into a new warehouse — all within one week. Although the company still is dealing with issues from the collapse, operations are back to pre-collapse service levels, with orders hipped within eight working hours (70% same-day ship) and a goal of 99-plus% complete.
