MRC Global opened a new regional distribution center in Tulsa, Okla., in mid-June. The 80,000-sq.-ft. facility features more than $20 million in inventory and will employ 80 individuals. The center also includes space for a two-acre pipe yard and valve automation center. The center supports 13 service locations in Oklahoma and the Midwest.

In other MRC Global news, the company, for the second year in a row, has been recognized as one of America’s largest public companies by Fortune magazine. Based on 2012 sales of $5.57 billion, MRC is listed at No. 451 on the Fortune 500 list. MRC ranked No. 493 on the 2012 list.
