Letter From The ASA President - ALL IN This Year In Las Vegas

Dear Industry Colleagues,

Many of us have heard the term “ALL IN” as it relates to the game of poker. It is a situation where a player bets the remainder of his or her stake when a game is on the line. The understanding is that the player is in for the duration, regardless of the outcome. Interestingly enough, this concept applies to a number of chances that we take on a daily basis, including decisions we make regarding the operation of our businesses. This is one of the main reasons that ASA has chosen NetworkASA 2011 – ALL IN – Cashing in on the Recovery as the theme for this year’s annual convention.

Why ALL IN? Because surveys have told ASA that the last two NetworkASA events “hit the ball out of the park” in terms of offering those in attendance phenomenal speakers, great sessions and chances to meet business leaders that just aren’t available at any other industry event. By attending NetworkASA 2011, you will be pushed to focus on items that are the most important and profitable in the operation of your business. Please allow me to share more reasons for you to make plans to attend this year’s event.

Attendance at NetworkASA allows you to keep ahead of future trends, as evidenced by the compelling lineup of thought-provoking and dynamic headline speakers that have been part of the event over the last few years. This year’s speaker lineup is no exception. NetworkASA 2011 offers several exclusive networking opportunities, allowing wholesalers “one-on-one” time with supplier partners. This year, there is even more time to meet with suppliers during a tabletop exhibit of products.

ASA’s Peer Networking Councils will also be meeting at NetworkASA 2011. These include the CFO, Warehouse & Operations, Trainers and Showroom Managers Councils. In addition, ASA’s Plumbing Division and Industrial Pipe Division Open Houses offer attendees unique venues to engage in discussions with industry leaders about the complexities facing these particular market segments. It is the perfect chance to pick the brain of leading companies in an informal atmosphere.

Most importantly, by attending NetworkASA 2011 you will have the opportunity to recharge your batteries and have fun in Las Vegas. You have worked very hard the past several years weathering the economic storm. Now is the time to go ALL IN and come away with a new vision for the future that you just won’t get anywhere else. By now, you should have received an informational brochure that you can use to register for NetworkASA 2011. I urge you to do so today. You can also go to www.asa.net and register for the event online. Member or non-member … we will be ALL-IN … I look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas!

Do You Know Everything You Need to Know About North American Drinking Water Laws?

On Demand Protecting drinking water is of paramount importance.  The last decade has seen the enactment of safe drinking water laws that safeguard our water for consumption.  These laws can lead to confusion in determining which applications are regulated and which materials are safe to be installed in these applications.

Reduce System Downtime with Differential Pressure Measurement

Pressure gauges reduce operator headaches by providing information necessary to keep a process operational.  Installing gauges on either side of an orifice allows operators to identify unexpected increases or decreases in pressure and schedule maintenance with minimal system disruption.  Now, one differential gauge can replace the need to install pressure gauges on either side of an orifice, simplifying pressure measurement.
