network of 70 distribution centers down to 59.
Interline Brands, parent company of Barnett and other MRO distribution companies, has announced plans to cut its nationwide network of 70 distribution centers down to 59. Included is a move planned for this summer to a new 275,000-sq.-ft. facility in its Jacksonville, FL, hometown from an old facility that it less than 100,000 sq. ft.
Interline's sales fell 11% last year to $1.06 billion. The company also reported that its first quarter 2010 sales fell 4.5% to $245.2 million, although rising in April by 0.8%.
