Services were held for Henry Edgar Longley Jr., 75, who served as president of wholesale firm Longley Supply Co., Wilmington, NC, for 46 years. He was the father of the company’s current president, Emily Longley. He died Nov. 21. Longley earned a mechanical engineering degree from North Carolina State University and served for two years in the U.S. Air Force before he took over the family business. He is credited with playing a major role in the long-term growth and success of the company, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in July 2006. He was a past president of the Southern Wholesalers Association.
