In making the announcement at the Annual Member Luncheon during Network’08, Mike Adelizzi, ASA’s executive vice president, cited ASA’s recently developed strategic plan as the inspiration for working with Homes for Our Troops. “The ASA Board of Directors recognized that we, as a national organization, are in a unique position to provide our member a means to become involved in a charitable endeavor that provides opportunities in local communities and on a national level.Homes for Our Troops does amazing work for the men and women of our armed forces who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan and returned disabled.It was a natural fit for our industry and our members.”

Homes for Our Troops is a non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2004. It assists severely injured Servicemen and Women and their immediate families by raising donations of money, building materials and professional labor and coordinating the process of building a new home or adapting an existing home for handicapped accessibility.  All services provided by Homes for Our Troops are at no cost to the veterans it serves.
