The National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers (NAOHSM) Tidewater Chapter of Norfolk, VA, has teamed up to complete a job under the Oil Heat Cares Program that will assist a local elderly person in need of a new heating system.

Phillips Energy, Hayes, VA, responded to the home of Mrs. Watkins, whose original unit was installed in 1969 and located underneath her home. Needing a new oil heating system, dispatchers Suzanne and Isabella turned to Oil Heat Cares to see if they could spearhead a job for Mrs. Watkins. They talked to fellow chapter members, Filmore Brinkley, E.T. Lawson and Gene Vickhouse, Cutting Edge Total Comfort and they agreed to help with the project.

Oil Heat Cares (OHC) is a not-for-profit foundation, which was started by NAOHSM in July of 2005. The Foundation assists people and organizations throughout the country that need new oil heating equipment. OHC raises funds to purchase heating equipment and NAOHSM’s Chapters identify those within their neighborhoods that most need a temporary helping hand and then install the equipment at no cost to the homeowner or organization.
