Julius Banks from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be presenting a program on Section 608 of The Clean Air Act of 1990, addressing refrigerant recycling and EPA compliance requirements, the use and phaseout of HCFC refrigerants, required certifications, current regulations, proposed regulations changes, the EPA stance on recertification, if students need to be certified while enrolled in a program, recordkeeping and more, during the National HVAC Educators and Trainers Conference March 16-19, 2008, in Las Vegas. Banks is the team leader and program manager for the EPA’s National Refrigerant Recycling and Emissions Reduction Program.
