Charles J. Lafferty Sr., 78, died March 28 in Delaware County, Pa. He was co-owner and former president of Pennsylvania Machine Works and PENN MACHINE, or Texas PMW. He was best known for his dedication to the closed die forging process and for promoting piping products.
