The Home Depot® announced that Tom Taylor, executive vice president of merchandising and marketing, has decided to leave the company at the end of the year. Taylor will continue to lead the company's merchandising and marketing initiatives throughout the year and will assist in the selection and transition of his replacement. Also, Taylor and the company plan to enter into a longer term consulting agreement following his departure at the end of the year.

In other news, Mark Holifield was named senior vice president, supply chain, succeeding Marvin Ellison, who was promoted to president of The Home Depot's Northern Division in January. Holifield most recently served as executive vice president, supply chain management at Office Depot. He has 29 years of experience in supply chain, logistics and transportation.
